In Pro Tools you have a function called “Keyboard Focus” which allows you to use shortcuts from A-Z without having to use the Command, Option, Control or Shift keys. So, I got it to work again but I have NO IDEA how. The AZ icon in the upper right corner is highlighted yellow. I closed PT and re-opened, saved session and started anew-still, no shortcuts. Now, the shortcuts are GONE they will not function correctly.
This happened before and I restarted PT and the shortcut came back. Within this window you also have some hidden keyboard shortcuts that allow you to select Track Type, Track Format, and adding additional track lanes. Getting Started Fast Once you’ve launched Pro Tools, you can always create a new session quickly with Cmd+N, open an existing one with Cmd+O, or open the last session you worked on with Shift+ Cmd+O. If you look at the Track menu in Pro Tools, you’ll see the first option in called New., designated by the keyboard shortcut: Shift + Command + N, which give you the New Track window. I can no longer use Fn+T and Fn+R to Zoom in and out of track. All of these shortcuts are valid for both HD and non-HD flavors of Pro Tools version 8 and up.
